We built CleartoNL around the question that actually determines your outcome: does your profile — profession, experience, qualifications, and target salary — line up with what Dutch employers who are IND-recognised sponsors are actually paying and hiring for, right now.

Every assessment cross-references your answers against current IND thresholds and market evidence for your profession — job postings, salary reports and hiring trends — and reasons through that evidence before giving you an answer. You never get a templated result based on your job title alone.

If your profile clears the bar, we tell you plainly. If it doesn't yet, we tell you exactly what the gap is — a salary shortfall, a missing qualification, a profession where sponsor demand is thin — and what closing that gap would realistically take. No hedging designed to keep you paying for more reports.

Before building CleartoNL, our founder went through the same process most readers of this page are going through now — trying to figure out, from outside the Netherlands, whether a move here was actually realistic. That meant paying visa consultants: one charged €500, another €250. Neither helped secure a job. Neither pointed out, up front, the things that actually decide an outcome.

What came up again and again — and in conversations with others who'd been through it — was the same pattern: consultants that hold back the real criteria until after payment. Your English level, the practical language requirement, your age bracket, the salary threshold your profession needs to clear, and whether there's real demand for your specific role. That information is publicly available. It shouldn't be the thing you pay hundreds of euros to finally hear.

This isn't unique to the Netherlands — it shows up in relocation and visa consulting for many countries. There are legitimate, careful consultants out there. There are also plenty who aren't. CleartoNL exists to put the real, checkable criteria in front of you first, for a fraction of the cost, so any further money you spend — including with a consultant, if you choose one — goes in with your eyes open.

We're also actively building relationships with legitimate, IND-recognised hiring companies, so candidates who clear the bar on CleartoNL have a faster, more direct route to real openings rather than a cold job-board search. This is early-stage work and growing, not a finished network yet, but it's the direction we're building in.
